32 Foot Sloop, built by Acclaimed Builder Paul Luke in Booth Bay Maine.
Born in 1912, and Retiring in 1994, Paul Luke built a lot of High-Quality boats over the years. The Friendship 32 design was one of his most popular sloops.
Her hull is built of longleaf yellow pine on an oak wood frame and she was built for all sailors to enjoy. She's 35 feet overall with a 10' beam and a hull speed of approximately 7 knots. WIth her sloop rig, she has the mainsail, jib, and a drifter sail.
The Cockpit is huge, allowing for all your guests to enjoy the day on the water. In the cabin, her galley is aft with an icebox, stainless steel sink, microwave, and Chamberlain Coal/Woodstove. (There is a Coleman type gas stove for summer use.
A settee to starboard and port allows for a sleeping capacity of 2. Toward the bow is the head with vanity, hanging closet and storage for gear, etc.
Per the seller, she's an easily sailed vessel, steady and sure-footed. The Decks are teak and recently had some planks, repaired or replaced and recaulked. The Plywood subdeck is said to show no signs of fatigue and do not leak.
While we will always attempt to provide you with a TRUE representation of every vessel we market, during any purchase you will be encouraged to schedule an inspection from an independent, accredited surveyor and every purchase WILL ALWAYS BE subject to your satisfaction with the results from your independent survey and your own personal trial run.
We have several more Fales, Islander, and Rhodes Bounty Two vessels for sale. If you're in the Los Angeles, Oxnard, Glendale, or Santa Clarita areas, please contact us to let us know what you're looking for and we'll get back with you today about any other antique sailboat options we have locally that may meet your needs.
