Description
Beautifully maintained, classic Chris Craft Double-Cabin Flybridge near completion of a major refit including full rewire with modern electrical system, bow and stern waterjet thrusters, and 240v Dometic chiller HVAC system with 5 blower units. She was purchased in early 2018 following survey and brought to Vermilion where structural repairs noted during survey were completed and then launched for seatrial in fall of 2018. Following seatrial and engine check, she was hauled and moved inside for the refit.
The 45' DCFB was only made for the 1954 model year and a total of 33 hulls were built of which this is number 19. She is now available for purchase to a new owner at a fraction of the invested capital. Arrangements can be made for transport to complete the refit at a location of your choosing or to complete the project locally. All offers considered.

Key Features
- Pettit Easypoxy White hull sides with Pettit Easypoxy Red waterline; Pettit Copper Bronze Antifouling; hull planking in excellent condition.
- Foredeck and catwalks stripped/stained/sealed/varnished with Pettit Captain's Varnish in 2019. Cabinsides and coamings received maintenance coats in 2019.
- Twin Chris-Craft Model W engines (160 HP each) with Paragon Transmissions with Reduction Gear all rebuilt in early 1990's. Hour meter reads 797 hours. Compression check performed in 2018 and seatrialed in summer 2018 prior to refit.
- New Blue Seas Systems Custom360 240v/120v/12V electrical panel with new wiring throughout with Xantrex Freedom SW 2012 Inverter/Charger. Next step in refit is to make connections from all wire runs to panel. 50A/240V inlets on both Port and Starboard side aft with selector switch on Main Panel.
- Dometic VARC Chiller system for heating and cooling of the cabins with zone controls for each unit. 48,000 BTU system with 5 air handlers: 5000 BTU for the Forward Cabin, 6000 BTU for the Galley, 18,000 BTU and 6000 BTU units for the Main Salon, 12,000 BTU for the Master Stateroom aft, and 4000 BTU for the Head. Chiller unit mounted underneath aft cockpit floor and circulation pump mounted under starboard berth in Master Stateroom. All plumbing is run but connections need to be made at each unit and power connections need to be made at the panel.
- Close-quarter maneuvering provided by bow and stern waterjet thrusters from Jet Thruster JT90 24V system. High-volume pump and intake mounted amidships under main salon pumps water forward and aft to ports mounted in bow and stern. All plumbing is run and connected. Controls need to be mounted at dash.
- LED overhead dimmable lighting throughout the vessel with Vimar switching.
- Forward Cabin contains two twin berths with custom wicker frames and custom quilted plush mattresses. Beadboard in overhead with LED dimmable lighting. Forward anchor locker contains 2 custom mahogany varnished doors. Hanging closet to port contains 6000 BTU air handler and custom mahogany varnished door. Vinyl teak/holly plank material and teak trim ready for installation in floor similar to Flybridge floor.
- Galley contains custom quartz countertop with stainless steel undermount sink and fixtures to starboard with ample storage above and below counter. Dinette to port includes custom mahogany table with checkerboard inlay and drawers beneath seating. Beadboard overhead and trim with LED dimmable lighting. Vinyl teak/holly plank material and teak trim ready for installation in floor similar to Flybridge floor.
- Main Salon is spacious with abundant natural lights from windows and additional lighting overhead from dimmable LED lighting. Cabinet to starboard contains electrical components and 6000 BTU air handler. Sliding cabin doors to port and starboard for entry and exit to/from catwalks. Steps forward lead down into Galley. Steps aft lead to Master Stateroom. Ladder after leads up to Flybridge and Helm. Beadboard and trim ready for installation overhead similar to Galley and Forward Cabin. Vinyl teak/holly plank material and teak trim ready for installation in floor similar to Flybridge floor.
- Master Stateroom contains 2 berths with custom quilted plush mattresses. Berths contain drawers underneath. Cabinet to starboard contains 18,000 BTU and 12,000 BTU air handlers for the Main Salon and Master Stateroom in addition to drawers for storage. Hanging locker amidships contains mechanicals and Electrical Panel access. Beadboard and trim ready for installation overhead similar to Galley and Forward Cabin. Vinyl teak/holly plank material and teak trim ready for installation in floor similar to Flybridge floor.
- Bronze portlights refurbished and polished throughout and ready for final installation.
- Aft cockpit has teak floor refinished in 2019 with Cetol Natural Teak. Storage under cockpit floor contains Chiller unit. Steps lead up to the Flybridge. Door leads into the Master Stateroom.
- Flybridge contains helm station and bench seating aft with beautiful, elevated 360 degree views. Floor is vinyl teak and holly planks and teak trim is ready for installation. Helm station has original gauges and controls and has custom enclosure above for navigation display.
