PASTOL BAY has served the present owners very well for decades in the Marine Construction business. The vessel handles deck cargos, to 120,000lbs, and has 10' Push knees to facilitate pushing barges with excellent control in tight situations with twin screws and large rudders.
This is a non-typical, US Military LCM-8 built by HIGGINS Shipyard, New Orleans, LA in the Gulf Coast in 1955, converted to an inland push type towboat/service vessel with 2 GM 16V-92, 600HP propulsion engines.
Under ideal conditions PASTOL BAY could travel approximately 960 miles at full throttle without tow. Approximately 6000 gallons of fuel in 2 Main and 2 Day tanks.
Presently NOT Classified, owner has provided a list of items required by USCG to bring the vessel into Certification and Chapter M compliance, dated 10/14/2020
