Owner's Description
1959 Stephens 36' Motor Yacht Flybridge Sedan-(one of three)--#M20
"TAKE FIVE II"
Completely restored between 2006-2009. New underwater wood from keel up; stronger than original to accommodate two new Yanmar 220hp turbo diesels, driving 2 -... 4 blade propellers. (approximately 300 hours). Yacht is capable of over 20mph and has been run at 20 plus according to GPS with 1000rpm left to max! Keel is original, but all underwater wood, (steam bent oak frames, mahogany floors, fir stringers and clamps), is new.
Length on deck, (LOD), is 36 feet, Length overall, (LOA), is 40 feet due to bowsprit and swim step. Intentionally, there is no gasoline nor propane onboard. Too many negative incidents have occurred when these products are in use-or more to the point when they are installed on seldom used yachts! Tanks are new in stainless steel and carry 158 gallons. There also is a substantial Xantrax Freedon 2500 inverter system to provide 110 volts.
Most all systems are new, including Ratheon auto pilot. cooktop, ac/dc refrigerator, water heater, electric heater by radiator from engine, 2-
90 amp alternators, shore power, (windlass and Furuno radar restored), VHF radio, Garmin GPS, Furuno depth sounder, dual controls and remote auto pilot for bridge deck, Kenwood stereo system with Sirius and remote control to galley dinette area, Panasonic microwave oven, ships clock and barometer, auto remote spot and flood light, TV antenna, Purisan electric head, (thru hull or to holding tank with monitor), Bimini, full weather curtains, (both screen and clear) for aft deck.
TAKE FIVE II is truly complete and is a virtually "new" 1959 Stephens! Albeit with significant, important and useful upgrades, while retaining its original character!
