Kaya is a one of a kind pocket cruiser that turns heads in what ever harbor she sails into. She is the epidimy of the elegant lines of classic plastic boats of the 60’s paired with some very well thought out modern touches to make long term cruising on a budget possible. As the Pardey’s said- “Go small, go simple, go now!” And we couldnt think of a better boat than Kaya to do this. She has cruised from Maine to Key West and the Bahamas several times with her past owners. She was built in 1965 out of solid fiberglass. Aside from her shallow draft lead ballasted keel, her centerboard is solid bronze. Most boats of this era had cast iron centerboards and they have all since rusted out, but not kaya’s bronze board; Shes as good as new. She draws just 3.5’ so shes perfect for exploring those shallow anchorages that most 30’ and up boats cant. In 2021, Kaya was chosen as Cruising World Magazine’s choice for their “glamour girl” contest sponsored by Total Boat. An award that beat out hundreds of entries. She was fully restored in 2002-2003; including a full interior refit with all updated systems, and exterior refit with all new hardware, rigging, lines and paint.
