For sale: 1966 Allied Seabreeze fiberglass sloop. She had only had three owners in her 58-year life: a beautiful dark blue hull and a desirable bronze centerboard. She draws 3’ 10” with the board up allowing for great gunk holing. With the board down, she draws over 7 feet, allowing for better pointing to weather and easing the tiller-steered helm. We have continuously updated her on our ownership, as you can see in the partial list below. There is a very active owners group https://www.alliedseabreeze35.org/ as well as an active group on Facebook. She’s a strong, well-built boat with excellent sailing characteristics.
-Hull was painted professionally in 2008 by Tim Lackey
-The bottom was stripped to bare gelcoat, and epoxy coated the bottom to prevent blisters (there were none, thankfully)
-All new lighting to LED as well as all new fixtures
-Installed Solar Stik with (2) 55-watt panels. BlueSea MMPT charge controller
-Rebuilt entire electrical system, new panel, added solar charging, and installed 6-volt: 4 house batteries and one start battery. New house batteries 2023. 1000watt inverter. All mast wires replaced
-New sails from Pope Sails in Rockland; Main has two reef points and Genoa 130% has UV protection and is on roller furling. Sails are washed professionally annually and are in excellent condition.
-All new hoses for freshwater and toilet. New head.
-The house, decks, and cockpit were repainted with a new nonskid in 2019. Revarnished all exterior teak at that time. (Teak needs refreshing).
-Added tempered glass to the fixed ports and installed a new center hatch in the main cabin.
-Fuel tank polished and new port for cleaning and new fuel fill
-The water tank is fine- we have an inline filter that needs to be changed every year. We don't drink the water as the tank is hard to clean, but we use it for dishes, showers, washing hands, etc.
-The diesel stove/oven is removed (available) as it doesn't work well. Currently using propane camp stove.
-New floor 2019 professionally installed.
-Has a small wood stove (Tiny Tot)
-Custom mattress for V-Berth
-New radar, depth, speed, wind instruments. Raymarine chart plotter.
It has a tiller pilot, but we've had trouble getting it to work right. Included nonetheless!
-2023 new prop shaft, cutlass bearing, and packing gland were installed.
-2019 rebuilt fuel injectors
-The engine is a 1986 Westerbeke W-40 with just over 1,000 hours. Filters, belts, and impeller all changed as required. The starter has been replaced. Many spares.
-New Bowsprit 2012 with teak seat and two anchor rollers. Stainless steel 35lb. CQR anchor and stored large Danforth anchor. 35ft or so of chain and lots of rode.
-Lewmar electric windlass with Vetus controls on the foredeck.
-The bottom is painted with ablative paint each season, and the hull is buffed and waxed.
-New glass sewn-in dodger with custom dodger cover to protect the glass.
-All turnbuckles were replaced throughout ownership with bronze.
-Various safety equipment- flares, life jackets, etc. EPIRB is on board as well.
-The VHF radio has a separate cockpit microphone and an AIS receiver.
-FUSION radio with speakers mounted in the cabin and Bluetooth capability.
-New Harken self-tailing winches for Genoa
-New Harken traveler and block for mainsail
