Description
This unique patrol boat was built in 1967 in Germany by Yachtwerft Berlin. It was used to patrol the Elbe River between West and East Germany.
After the Fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989 there was no use for these boats anymore by the 'Wasserschutzpolizei' and these boats fell into the hands of a variety of owners.
This particular vessel found its way to The Netherlands where it was thoroughly restored inside and out by its passionate new owners. They named it 'Grenzeloos', which is Dutch for 'Without Borders'. Who could have predicted at that time how suitable that name actually was?
In 2022 the Grenzeloos crossed the Atlantic to move to the Hudson River which is now its new habitat.

Accommodations
This unique historic patrol boat was built in 1967 and used to patrol the Elbe River between East and West Germany. Just 3 years ago, this beautiful boat was completely rebuilt. Everything inside is new.
The Grenzeloos can comfortably accommodate 8 people and is the perfect boat for a fun day out on the water.
The interior is designed and built with a great sense of design, respecting the original heritage of the ship, using only high quality materials and finishes.
There is a spacious outdoor area with a U-shaped sofa. A filler panel can be added to create a (sun)bed. Also, a table can be placed inside the U-shaped sofa. The outdoor area can be completely covered by the fitted tent.
Inside there is an L-shaped sofa. Also here a table can be mounted. There is a small kitchenblock with fridge.
The cockpit is equipped with a comfortable leather stool with back rest. The dashboard has all the basic necessary equipment and sports a beautiful wooden steering wheel.
There is also a spacious separate toilet.
Mechanical Equipment
The boat was entirely rebuilt in The Netherlands in 2021.

This means that everything inside is brand new: new electrical, new plumbing, etc.
In a previous life, the John Deere inboard turbo diesel engine was used as a generator in a series of 6, installed on a large yacht. It was completely overhauled in 2021 and all exterior engine parts, including transmission and driveshaft are new.
With only 800 rpm the boat goes about 10 knots and uses less than a gallon of diesel per hour.
Galley Equipment
There is a small kitchen block with a sink and running water.
The refrigerator is new (2022).
Deck and Hull Equipment
The boat is mostly original albeit completely refinished. The hull is corten steel (doesn't rot) and the upper deck is aluminum.
