1978 Formula 233

I am presenting you "Blue Dream" the legendary Formula 233 Center Console built by the legend Don Aronow. Don was the creator of Donzi, Magnum and Cigarette. The 233 was Don Aronow's first boat under the Formula name. This was Aronow's first race boat and in collaboration with Jim Wynne and Walt Walters, they founded the Formula Boat Company. They won the Miami Nassau race in the 233. The 233 went on to win a number of offshore races while Aronow went on to found Cigarette, Magnum, Donzi and USA Racing. Aronow was murdered in 1987 by a rival boat builder.

In 2016 this boat was beautifully restored to better than new condition. I kept the original helm and aft louvers/ formula logos you would see on this boat from the factory in 1978. This is the marine version of a restomod. The only original components are the hull and the helm. Everything else was replaced with brand new updated components. The fiberglass and paint work was done by the guys who work for Merritt in Pompano Beach, FL. The rigging was done by a custom marine shop with decades of experience on race boats. There was no expense spared on this boat. I have well over $100k into this build. I am selling due to lack of use (less than 150 hours since 2017). I have a 2 young children. I simply don't use the boat enough to warrant the expense. It's currently at Riverfront Marina in Fort Lauderdale, FL. I can setup a walk through anytime. Or a seatrial with a deposit. Serious inquires only. No low ballers. I am not desperate to sell. 

This boat is an absolute head turner. You will not see another one like this on the water. I get complimented everytime I'm on the water. People who know about this boat have a special appreciation for the effort put into this build. It's important for me that the new owner have the same appreciation for this legend.
