1979 Hatteras 53 Motoryacht

This vessel has been extensively renovated and updated over the past decade by the current owner, including new roof liners throughout, upholstery, bridge enclosure, new topside paint, new aft deck cook station with electric grill, sink and fridge, completely renovated galley with granite wrap-around counter and all new appliances including dual under-counter drawer fridge/freezers, custom dinette table, all new toilets and plumbing, easily switch between fresh and raw water flushing, engine rooms clean enough for a hospital operating room... the list goes on and on, if this is not the finest "shoes off when boarding" example of a Hatteras 53 you will find, it is certainly one of them, ready for service in drive-home condition.

The Hatteras 53 Motor Yacht is a classic, few motoryacht builders of the era come close to achieving the same level of comfort and luxury, and none match the quality construction long associated with the Hatteras brand.

The floorplan features an expansive three-stateroom, three-head interior, the wheelhouse is open to the salon, and a centerline doorway leads to a roomy aft deck area, from which a ladder takes one up to the bridge, where another full helm station, a full soft top (new) overhead and scenic views await... as well as a davit crane and cradle for a tender.

The galley is down several steps from the wheelhouse area and features large counter spaces, abundant storage, and dinette for four. Beneath the galley floor is a Westerbeke 15 kW generator in sound-proof enclosure and the main battery enclosures.

Forward is a guest stateroom (or crew cabin) with over/under bunks and private head with shower, with over/under washer dryer set in the companionway.

Aft of the midships engine rooms in the companionway is the second guest stateroom with twin berths, a guest head with shower, and further aft, the master stateroom has a walkaround queen berth, dressing table, and ensuite head with shower.
