RECENT PRICE REDUCTION
From a design by Ralph Stanley, Maine boatbuilder Jarvis Newman built a series of32-foot fiberglass lobster fishing boats, some of which were taken as bare hulls by other
Maine builders with their eyes on yachtsmen rather than lobsters. This Newman 32 was
one such, finished out by Lee S. Wilbur as a cruising boat for two or a day boat for eight
or more people. Holds 10, seats six, sleeps two and admired by all. Soundings Magazine
acknowledged her good looks in a feature article published in the January 2023 issue.
Launched in 1980, "Spirit" found her way to the Chesapeake Bay, where the current
owners have cherished her for nearly 20 years. They are retiring from yachting and must
sell.
From the bowsprit anchor carrier to the teak swim platform, Spirit is actually 34
feet long. Her major distinctive feature is a pilot house, where steering, engine controls,
GPS are found to starboard and a dinette to port, and a flybridge above with helm and
engine controls. Aft of the pilot house there?s a roomy cockpit with a full-width settee aft
and storage under it, a freshwater shower outlet and a propane locker to port with another
storage locker to starboard and two more beneath the floorboards. Down three steps
forward from the pilot house, the cabin has a galley with sink, refrigerator, propane stove
and storage to port, and a head compartment with electric toilet to starboard. A closet
comes next and then there are two V-berths. On the foredeck there is a Lewmar windlass,
a Vetus bow thruster and a raw water pump for hosing down a muddy anchor.
This is a one of a kind vessel that is a must see! Call the listing broker today to set up a showing!
