Motivated seller! All reasonable offers will be considered.! Don't wait too long....Looking for a winner Cruising Sailboat for Coastal and In-Shore Trips along the Atlantic and Gulf waters of the USA?” Salty Dog 2, a 1983 Allmand 31 Masthead Sloop, is a really great cruising sailboat that is easy to sail solo or with minimal crew, but big enough to comfortably carry four to six people for a weeklong trip to explore the wonders of our coastal waters. The vessel has three separate cabins in the layout that allows lots of personal space for all. Its less-than-4’ draft allows the adventurous crew to explore close inshore in many of the coastal and Inland Waterway ‘gunkholes’, but the sturdy hull design makes her fun to take off shore, romping in moderately strong winds, as well. The present owner has had her exploring and sailing in the high winds of LI Sound and the upper East River in NY, and then brought her down the east coast via New York Harbor, outside along the Jersey Coast, the Delaware River and the C&D Canal, Chesapeake Bay, the Atlantic Intra-coastal Waterway (AICW) to the Albemarle and Pamlico Sounds Sampling the marinas and gunk holes along the way. He reported she handled her rehoming, while experiencing high seas, gale force winds and storms, as well as calms and fogs, like a thoroughbred and now loves to poke all around her current home on the Pamlico River. Time and life changes require that Salty Dog 2 gets a new Captain after providing a lot of fun to her current one. Take this opportunity to snatch up a wonderful, ready-to-go vessel that needs only a Spring seasonal clean-up and polishing and some personalizing decorator choices. Bring your best offer and your checkbook to ensure your dream purchase for the fantastic cruising season coming up. All 'formal' offers considered.
