Passport 42
-
Passport 42 was build in Taiwan in 1984. This is a moderate displacement offshore capable crusing boat easily handled by one couple but can comfortably accommodate two couples. She is cutter rigged sloop with protected aft cockpit. She has a modified full keel a rudder hang on separate skeg and canoe stern. The hull is ruggedly built of hand-laid Fiberglass ,plywood cored in the deck and cabin roof. We've sailed her for over 10 years between Florida ,Bahamas and Caribbean. In 2019 we sailed around South America, started in Antigua through Panama Canal ,Galapagos, Easter Island, Chile- Patagonia, Cape Horn and back on east coast of SA ( Urugway, Brazil) to Caribbean in 2022. During that trip we never found conditions that the boat couldn't handle with ease including hurricane-force wind and heavy seas. She is extensively equipped for comfortable crusing or living aboard.
