1986 Boston Whaler Montauk

For Sale is a restored 1986, 17-ft Classic Boston Whaler Montauk.

The restoration was completed in the summer of 2015 by the renowned Nacho Yacht Service located in Marina Del Rey. The restoration included:

o   Multiple layers of gel coating on the center console, rails, and hull.

o   Sanding and varnishing all teak work including the Bow storage compartment and all center console Teak doors to original specs.

o   Polishing all stainless steel

o   Installed a new rub rail.

o   All wiring and running lights are operational.

This boat is in excellent condition and well-maintained. It is stored in an enclosed garage. Since the completed restoration, it has only been used in fresh water in Big Bear Lake, CA.

The classic Boston Whaler Montauk remains one of the most popular center console boats, thanks to its practical design, rugged utility, and easy hose-and-go” cleanup.

This boat is turn-key and ready for its next adventures and lasting memories.

·       Included is a Galvanized trailer with new wiring, lights, rollers, bunk boards, and tires.

·       Strong and well-maintained 2007 Honda V-Tec BV90D Fuel Injected Four Stroke with 200 hours. SS 4-blade offshore prop that moves the boat 40mph with 4 persons and gear.  It can pull two on a tube or a single water ski. 

·       Hydraulic Steering

·       New 24-gallon fuel tank

·       Front and stern rails, rod holders

·       New installed OEM tinted windscreen on the center console

·       Furuno FCV 600L Color Fish Finder, Garmin Color GPS Map, and VHF Radio.

·       Two new batteries for under the console (purchased on November 22, 2024).

·       A comprehensive servicing on the engine (oil, fluids, filters, thermostat, spark plugs, o-rings, water pump impeller, and below-deck battery cables were replaced and upgraded. Service was completed on 2/14/2022 by Boston Whaler specialists at Schock Boats located in Huntington Beach, CA. (I can provide the detailed service invoice of $1,885).
