The Catalina 36 has a large and beamy comfortable living space below deck. The private forward stateroom has an extra large V-berth with plenty of storage privided in bins, lockers and drawers. The head compartment is next aft to port and includes a Jabsco manuel head, and vanity (shower nozzle has been taken out- however there is a sump pump). Adjacent is a hanging locker. The main salon has a U-shaped dinette to port which converts to a double berth. Ajacent to starboard, prior owner had custom wood work down .. allowing for additional space for batteries. A long bench seat remains for a single "sea berth" and a table is still there to make a nice coffee table. Galley is port of companionway and adjacent to starboard is an in-line Nav Station w/ chair . Moving aft of Nav is double athwartship berth with a folding door for privacy.
Port of companionway lines a "U" shaped galley, great for working underway or on the hook. Ample storage and working counter .

The hull is hand-laminated solid fiberglass. This approach offers high-impact resistance and guards against water saturation and the possible deterioration of a core. Thru-bolts are used to secure the hull-deck joint rendering a coventional "shoe-box" fashion. The deck is hand laid fiberglass with a marine plywood core. Both hull and deck are reinforced structurally by a liner heavily bonded into place. The deck is stiffened by a rigid liner that doubles as a finished overhead for the cabin interior.
WATER ..... 48 Gal total
FUEL ..... 33 gal under port dinette area
HOLDING ..... 21 gal port dinette area just aft of bulkhead
