1993 Dufour 56’ Prestige CC
The Dufour 56 is designed as an extremely well balanced hull shape with a powerful aft section for lift and minimal wetted surface fore-drive. With 54.5 feet of waterline length she is virtually all waterline. Designed for performance on all points of sail speed and maneuverability whether you want to go race around the buoys or traverse the oceans of the World.
Interior is laced with rich Mahogany trim and cream leather throughout the kitchen and dining area. At 56 feet and 35,500 lbs. displacement and the sail area to drive at hull speed, it’s an exhilarating ride.
The Dufour 56 has performed amazingly well in ocean racing and a cruisers joy because she really sails. The Dufour 56 Center Cockpit is a modern performance cruiser first designed in the mid-90s. This is one of the first boats in the Grande Large Series, only two owners since 1993. The original owner was the First Mate to the King of Norway. Second owner purchased vessel in 2022 and has completed improvements.
REPAIRS NEEDED:
Electrical has been redone but would need a thourough check.
Teak Decks need to be maintenanced.
Bimini has to tears that need to be patched.
Rigging is "candy caning"
Electric and Fuel system have been updated September, 2024.
This is a phenominal vessel, it needs an owners TLC and attention. It is completely functional and safe. Owner is out of state and unable to sail due to medical. This is a OWNER DEAL! Current owner purchased in 2022 for $135k and out over $100k into the vessel. It has been sailed from Panama to Virginia and kept in dry storage to maintain and has been sailed a few times when able.
