DETAILED DESCRIPTION
The Bayliner 4788 Pilothouse Motor Yacht is renowned for its excellent design, practicality, reliability and seaworthiness. She combines an exceptional design and spacious layout making it a great choice for extended cruising or as a full-time liveaboard. Features include a large cockpit, spacious main salon and galley, warm teak wood finishes throughout, a comfortable and well-appointed fully enclosed pilothouse, and large flybridge with plenty of built-in seating to accommodate the crew and plenty of guests, two staterooms and two heads, each with separate showers.
Boarding from the deep fiberglass swim platform and walk-through transom door into the roomy cockpit, the main salon is entered through a full-size sliding glass door to port (a ship ladder to starboard provides exterior flybridge access).
The interior has a warm and spacious salon with L-shaped sofa to starboard, a beautiful adjustable height pedestal teak table and wet bar with stainless steel sink, built-in blender and ice maker. Two comfortable conversation chairs and side table are to port. The fully equipped U-shaped up galley has plenty of storage and countertop space for food preparation and serving. Large windows wrap around the entire salon providing plenty of natural light and fresh air. Down just a few steps from the main salon, the comfortable guest stateroom with double berth is midship to port and the guest head with separate shower is across the companion way to starboard. Forward is the master stateroom with centerline double berth. DESOLATION has the folding doors to the optional third stateroom removed, preferring to combine this area with the master stateroom making it much larger and providing abundant storage and flexibility. In addition to the extra space, the master stateroom also has a large mirrored double door organizer closet with shelves and drawers, and a separate hanging locker to both port and starboard sides of the stateroom. The private master head features a large vanity and combo tub / shower. The entire cabin features a fully carpeted sole and warm teak wood cabinetry, hanging lockers and trim throughout.
Up a few interior stairs from the main salon, the fully enclosed pilothouse features sliding doors to the side decks for direct access to the foredeck. The foredeck has a molded cushioned settee to enjoy the forward views while underway or on anchor. The pilothouse wrap around helm station has a full array of instrumentation and affords excellent unobstructed visibility while navigating. Up from the pilothouse is a large flybridge with upper helm station, lots of built-in seating, wet bar with refrigerator, a large open deck and electric davit system for dinghy storage / deployment.
