The COCO is one of the last of the outstanding NAUTOR SWAN 36 Frers sailing yachts as produced from 1988 through 1996. She hull #151 with a total of 55 manufactured over the years. Designed by German Frers and built by NAUTOR SWAN of Pietarsaari, Finland, the "36 Frers" is one of the finest sailing yachts ever manufactured in this class! It's also safe to say that the world will not see this level of excellence again that NAUTOR SWAN has evidenced with the SWAN 36 Frers and especially in this size range. The COCO has had only (3) Owners since she was delivered in 1996. The present Owner purchased her in 2005 and has diligently maintained the COCO over the years. Her primary use has been for just day-sailing & the occasional Club Race event. She is clearly in superior condition both inside and out and her teak decks show very little wear as well.

Hull, Deck & Cockpit:
Hull:
The NAUTOR SWAN 36 Frers is constructed with a process that includes a molded, hand laid-up laminated fiberglass hull w/ foam cored GFRP stringers. This method insures a very strong hull that will handle any loads that the yacht might encounter. The legendary strength of the NAUTOR SWAN build has been evidence since the Company inception back in 1966! NAUTOR SWAN includes, as the principal structural frame, a fabricated galvanized steel box frame on centerline. The frame has transverse webs which are mechanically fastened to a fiberglass hull frame. This centerline frame accepts the stainless steel keel bolts & nuts for the keel support.
Deck:
The NAUTOR SWAN teak deck installations are "stick-built" w/ solid teak individual teak planks that are secured with adhesive compound. The thickness as produced is approximate 9mm. The margin boards are secured w/ screws. The deck King Plank is secured with screws as well as an adhesive compound.
Cockpit:
The NAUTOR SWAN 36 Frers has an excellent ergonomically-correct Cockpit design that features good depth and length and with high backrests & teak on the coamings for good footing.
