1996 400 Trojan Express by Carver
She’s an express cruiser with some power. However, we are sailors who tried out the powerboat life, and now we have more time to be sailors again so it’s time to switch back. MAKE US AN OFFER so we can sailboat shop! She’s a 40ft motor yacht with a 13’6” beam, only 43” of draft, and twin gas v-drive inboards. The modified v-hull provides exceptional handling and stability.
Below deck the interior design boasts cherry wood cabinetry and trim, and plush comfortable seating. There’s a master stateroom with a queen-sized island berth topped with a 6” custom organic cotton mattress, and able to closed off for privacy. The large dinette converts to a comfortable double berth and the u-shaped salon sofa converts to a mid-cabin double berth with the added bonus of a privacy curtain.
All in all she’s a great boat for an affordable live aboard situation and a great way to get out on the water with friends and family.

Mechanical Equipment
The engine room has great access via the aft deck completely lifting up and a ladder. Engines have been regularly serviced since our ownership and we were told the same from previous owners. We have improved the fresh water flushing system to make it more accessible from the deck area
Galley Equipment
The galley is nicely appointed for meal prep with a solid-surface sink and countertop. Additionally there is a microwave, refrigerator/freezer, and two burner electric stove.
Deck and Hull Equipment
Lots of deck space forward and aft for relaxing in the sun or stargazing at night. Roomy enough for taking friends out with tons of places to sit and enjoy the ride in the cockpit. The helm station has an adjustable seat for comfort while cruising. We did not update the instrument panel because everything works just fine. So that would be a nice upgrade for you to customize as you wish. Easy water access from the transom platform with integrated swim ladder makes for a great snorkeling or diving experience. The new enclosure keeps you nice and dry during those random rain storms. We polish, wax, and do the stainless regularly too.
