Just finished refurbishing this 1997 Cobalt model 220. The 5.7 Volva Penta motor on this boat was replaced with a 5.7 Volva Penta gasoline V-8 motor. This 5.7-liter  eight cylinders engine delivers loads of torque and power across the en-tire speed range. The fiber glass on this boat has been professionally polished and waxed. The boat comes with a tandem trailer, snap in and out carpet, and Bimini top. The boat cover is in excellent condition.  This 1997 Cobalt 220 is protected by bow and cockpit covers and also comes with a full waterline storage cover. This boat has been well maintained on an annual basis with recently completed full tune-up, impeller replacement, and oil change. All-fiberglass motor mounts and stringers constitute an integrally reinforced system for the suppression of vibration noise.

For those who are not familiar with the Cobalt brand. The boat design has a very deep haul that makes it perform well in deep water or rough water.  It's good for just cruising around the lake or pulling skiers.  The 220 is expansive and roomy with a ride as smooth as the lines in its gelcoat graphics. Cobalt's plentiful storage areas feature: carpet where appropriate; rubber-matting where appropriate; and they drain to the bilge when wetness might be a problem. They' are lighted when necessary; and they are large. The ski locker easily accommodates knee boards. The hull is totally hand-laid with seven layers of 1.5-ounce glass mat and 24-ounce woven roving, a signature Cobalt process called 'Hydrolam' resulting in consistency, strength, and integrity. If you are a first-time buyer this is a good used boat to start the season.
