1997 Contender 23 Open

This boat is 100% turn key and has been stored inside the last two years. The gel coat is in excellent shape for a boat half it’s age. I did my best to take pictures of every area and even one spot on the starboard side of the hull that has few scratches so you know exactly what kind of shape everything is in. If there is something else you want to see, I’m more than happy to send pictures or FaceTime. Please just be respectful of my time.

Also I can get very busy during business hours so please by patient on response times.

The entire boat gets washed, sprayed with Salt Away, then DEI rinsed after every single use. Every hatch gets cleaned and left open during storage so it is dry inside and out.

This boat was intended to be my 5-10 year boat but I ended up unable to resist getting a 25 Open that my close friend listed. Firm on price. Will only sea trial on a day/time that we can go to the bank after and conduct the transaction.

If you’re looking for this hull setup right and needing nothing, you will not be disappointed. I’ve kept an eye on the market since purchasing and have not seen a better equipped 23 come up for sale yet. To my knowledge, I am the third owner. The second owner is a close friend in the marine industry who performed the work listed below. I believe the fuel tank is original and has no issues.

I purchased the boat mid 2023 and added the following:

Garmin Autopilot Matte black console panels

Second Garmin 1042XSV added

Dual induction phone chargers

2ea JL Audio M6 6.5” added in rear

Fusion MS-RA60 head unit to run two zones so whoever is running the boat can rock out and not blast anyone sitting up front

The boat gets over 3mpg in calm conditions with 50% fuel and light gear doing 32-33MPH and 2.6MPG no matter how heavy it’s loaded. Top speed is 47mph.
