Imagine the interior comfort of a one-level houseboat and the maneuverability and docking ease of a cruiser. This rare 45-foot Stolkraft 4500 yacht has it all… and more!
The ninth of only nine built in America, this 1998 Stolkraft 4500 by Harbor Master (BCA) has a patented hull design from Australia that was the result of millions of dollars of research and tank testing at the Netherlands Ship Model Basin. This proven design has been used for many years in Australia and Pacific Rim countries with large ferry boats and military crafts.
Just three steps down from the covered aft deck, the interior is all on one level with two full bath (showers) and two (queen-size) staterooms with 6.5 foot ceiling heights in both. Huge storage capacity through the boat’s interior including closets and built in cabinets. Master has two closets and an en suite.
As you enter, the galley stretches along the port bulkhead and features Formica counters. Double stainless steel sinks, microwave, refrigerator, and Gally Maid stove/oven. Custom built-in salon seating was completely refurbished. New Samsung 40” TV and blue-ray player in salon area along with a built in CD player/radio and sound system throughout the vessel. Two marine air units keep the interior quite comfortable.
The unique hull design has a tri-hull bow forward that becomes a catamaran aft, as the middle hull ends amidships at a step. The theory offered by Stolk himself is that the tri-hull forms two large air scoops that duct air back under the boat; when the air hits the step it lifts the boat out of the water like a hydrofoil. This results in a highly maneuverable and stable vessel that has virtualy no bow wake, no spray from the sides, and very small wake. This vessel turns on a dime at slow speeds thus making docking a dream!
Features a pair of 415-hp MerCruiser 502-cid V-8 gasoline inboards with Walter V-drives, and a 10KW Kohler generator with the deluxe instrument panel in the salon. Cruises at about 25 mph with a top end was advertised at about 33+ mph. Has 100 gallon water tank and a 40 gallon wastewater tank fitted for pump outs.
Has a spacious bridge with seating for 12-15 on bridge deck and helm area has a full enclosure. The helm has a clean central design focused on the operator with a 360 view. Command Bridge has hydraulic tilt wheel steering for instant response, and Micro Commander single level engine control. Anchor windlass for automatic use. The aft deck is shaded by a large aft cockpit hardtop with lights, and an oversized molded swim platform. Non-skid deck pattern throughout. Wet bar with ice maker on bridge.
Other new additions and refinements since 2022 include (partial list): bottom job with upgraded paint, new Marine Air 16000 BTU HVAC unit (starboard side), water barrier paint, wax/buff from water line to rub rail, new blinds throughout, engine tune-ups, new entry door lockset, Camco 50ft. electrical cord set and covers, pressure washer, and bed sheets and covers, deck box. This vessel is documented at 44.5 ft (length), 15.8 ft (beam/width), and ~3 ft (depth/draft).
