Description
Built for family fun in the sun, this 280 Sun Sport has the ability to comfortably carry your friends and family in style on big water cruises or days out in the river (full head in the cabin). The current owner acquired the boat from a friend in 2015 and is the third owner of the vessel. The boat has a custom swim platform extension that was designed to ensure swimmers are a safe distance away from the outdrives while climbing on and off of the vessel.
The vessel is equipped with twin 5.7 L MerCruisers with Alpha drives. The seller has all canvas covers including the camper top (which he has never used and has remained in storage). The carpet is new and the canopy is large and built on a self supporting frame which covers from the helm area to the midship seating section which allows for ample sun coverage.
Garmin EchoMap 74 DV, vacuum, full (flushing) head, microwave, stereo, and more.
Shift cables, throttle cables, bellows and trim senders were done in 2020.
The boat has been well maintained and the fluids and filters have been changed yearly. Service records and original factory manuals are available.
The boat is currently shrink wrapped but can be made available for immediate inspection.
Please call or text Evan at 917-817- FIVE ZERO EIGHT FOUR with any questions or to arrange an appointment to see the vessel.

Manufacturer Provided Description
The 280 Sun Sport from Sea Ray offers some difficult choices. Difficult, because there are so many, it's hard to decide. Besides the popular standard cockpit layout, there's a fishing package that includes an aft bench seat, helm seat with storage base, live baitwell and prep center, four rod holders, and tubular arch with rocket launchers. Then there's the sport package, with chrome through-hull fittings, fiberglass sport spoiler, premier stereo, and two-tone gelcoated graphics. No matter which package is chosen, the 280 Sun Sport features a comfortable cabin that was redesigned for the 2000 model year to provide more headroom, a wider V-berth, and a new galley countertop with sink and standard dual-voltage refrigerator. The V-berth sets up easily for dining with a stowable table, and bunking down is just as easy. Simply remove the table, insert the filler cushions and relax. To port, the entertainment center with cooler and glass rack is ideal for serving extra guests. The enclosed head features all fiberglass construction with sink, vanity, pullout shower, and standard VacuFlush head with holding tank. A standard carbon monoxide monitor helps everyone feel safer when on board. Above, the cockpit is also efficient with a self-bailing fiberglass liner, molded dash with full instrumentation, high water bilge pump and alarm at the helm, standard depth finder and compass, plus an electrically actuated engine hatch for easy access. But even with all that function, form still remains a priority. Attractive wood accents highlight the dash along with a classic Italian mahogany tilt steering wheel for an extra touch of class. Passengers can enjoy a meal or just the view from the generous circular aft seat that surrounds a standard cockpit table. There's abundant storage space in the floor, in the cockpit side panels and lockers, concealed in the circular seating, and beneath the back-to-back lounger seats. The cockpit of the Sea Ray 280 Sun Sport comes with everything from a Clarion AM-FM digital cassette stereo with six speakers, amplifier and remote control, to a complete entertainment center with wet bar, cooler, glass rack, and trash receptacle. There's even a portable cooler with its own dedicated storage space. There are plenty of other standard features on the 280 Sun Sport, too, like power steering, power tilt and trim, plus all the standard safety systems. Movement to the forward deck is safe and simple with molded steps built right into the cabin door, and a walk-through windshield with steel supports. Even the wide swim platform has been engineered for safety with a walk-through transom door and a concealed compartment for the swim ladder. Entering and leaving the boat is easy and secure. An optional add-on swim platform creates even more space for boarding or engine work. The options available for the 280 Sun Sport are extensive - from a microwave oven to central heat and air, and everything in between.
