Designed by renowned yachtsman and designer Mark Ellis, and built in Middletown, RI, EAGLE III was customized by expert boat builder, custom millwork and high-end refinisher, George Darling of Charlotte, VT.
EAGLE III has been maintained and upgraded with care and attention to detail. She has been greatly enjoyed by her owners, much of the time in fresh water in Lake Champlain and the Connecticut River, and is a head turner on any dock.

From the swim platform, enter the cockpit through the transom door. The roomy teak cockpit features two bench seats facing aft with storage underneath and a custom folding varnished teak table mounted to the transom. Four lazarettes provide storage and access under the cockpit sole. There is a new SureShade retractable Bimini which may be opened to cover the entire deck. Stainless steel side handrails allow easy, safe access going forward on the wide side decks.
Entering the enclosed helm area, there are large L-shaped settees to port and starboard, with a custom adjustable teak table between. Custom teak-trimmed lockers are nelow the port and starboard settees. Forward are Stidd helm and companion seats with varnished teak back slats. The helm station features full instrumentation, electronics and offers excellent visibility. The enclosed house has been beautifully customized with various teak accents, including grab rails port and starboard and teak headliner strips. An aft canvas and clear soft back enclosure may be raised or lowered, as desired.
Companionway steps lead down to the cabin below, featuring a satin varnished cherry interior with gloss varnished teak and holly sole. Immediately to port is the full U-shaped galley, with the L-shaped settee and a cherry table opposite to starboard.
Forward, next to port, is access to the head, as a day head. There is also private access from the Owner's stateroom. A separate stall shower is located to starboard with access off the Owner's stateroom. Forward is the centerline queen berth. Storage is underneath the berth with abundant additional storage in cabinets and the hanging locker.
The HELM DECK offers excellent visibility with panoramic views from the helm and companion seats. The two L-shaped settees allow for comfortable entertaining while enjoying the view, in air conditioned comfort, when the aft enclosure is closed.
