Description
The 2004 Sea Ray 550 Sundancer was the very last year of production for this very popular signature model. The 2004 has all the improvements made throughout the entire model run. The 550DA is very stable due to the 16’ beam which also contributes to a cockpit that is amazing for entertaining.
This boat has the preferred white hull. It has been in fresh water for 10 of the last 12 years and has been thoroughly desalted. The optional MAN engines had 500 hrs in 2013 when purchased by current owner and received the full factory recommended (M6) service. Major components were removed, soaked and cleaned. This service was done again in 2022. This boat just finished America’s Great Loop which included a side trip to the Bahamas and has proven to be extremely capable andreliable.
This boat is very nice – Captain Owned & Maintained - kept in a covered slip for 8 of the last 11 years - continuously updated. By far, the absolute best appointed and best looking 550DA on the market! Every upgrade was made while maintaining the exquisite lines of this spectacular boat. Every upgrade was performed to look as though done at the factory, or better.
This boat continually receives comments “Wow, it is a 2004, it looks great.” It just doesn’t have the $1+ Million price tag. This is the final year of this model and wasn’t replaced until about 2007. A newer, similarly equipped 55’ Sea Ray will cost hundreds of thousands more.
