She has had many upgrades and options not found on other Mainship Pilot 34s, included a new Northern Lights 5kw generator, new full Garmin electronics suite, new Simrad VHF/AIS radio, a new Dometic A/C unit in the salon, replacement of all canvas and isinglass, and a new upsized Lewmar V1 electric windlass and its ground tackle. With twin turbo charged Yanmar 240 hp diesels, bow and stern thrusters, close quarters maneuvering is a piece a cake even in less than desirable conditions. Mainship Pilots are very efficient boats, descendants of the lobster boats, these Downeast boats are fuel sippers only faster and with 250 gallons of fuel at 17 knots and 2500 rpm her estimated range is 450 miles. With a full deep keel and complete sand shoe protecting the running gear you can pilot shallow waters with confidence of stability and protection.
