“Sacagawea” is a 2007 48 Expedition Classico Ocean Alexander…rarely on market. Ed Monk Jr. designed hull has classic, graceful, trawler lines but comes packed with efficient, twin Yanmar diesel engines in a semi-displacement hull. Dinghy neatly stored on the extra-long Expedition flybridge. Configuration enables unblocked sunset views from your ample cockpit.

The fit and finish of Ocean Alexanders is legendary. Sacagawea has no exterior teak (i.e. no sanding/varnishing). Interior teak walls have a contemporary, satin finish. Notable are curved corners and glossy finishes. Teak & holly floors permeate entire interior. The cockpit, interior living area & galley are on a single level, open to water views out sweeping windows. Down 3 steps are the staterooms. The primary stateroom has a spacious feel w/ steps on the port and SB leading up to centerline bed. Ensuite head has a separate, glass door shower and a surprisingly large counter & storage cabinets. Guest stateroom has 2 bunks, cleverly offset to enable excellent headroom. Guest stateroom offers ample personal storage and Splendide washer/dryer unit. A guest/day head directly opposite also has good storage. Staterooms and heads have charming, screened portholes. Sacagawea’s interior has excellent airflow—and relaxing vibes.

Flybridge houses the primary helm. Inside the living space, 2nd “storm” helm has 360 degree views and a full complement of instruments, to SB. Straight, molded steps lead from the cockpit to the flybridge—a clear advantage in sporty seas or when you host “old salt” guests. The crane/dinghy configuration enables single-person launch and retrieval of the Walker Bay RIB.

Sacagawea tracks beautifully straight and dockside handling is reliably tight/precise via two-engine action assisted by powerful bow thruster.

Ultra anchor at the bow pulpit leads the boat w/ stainless steel. 

Status:

Sacagawea is finishing America’s Great Loop and is available for inspection. Will be available after Loop completion around March 2025. Sold by owner. Owner welcomes working with buyer’s brokers or direct.
