2010 Morrelli & Melvin 65 MM Custom

The M&M 65 represents the best in performance cruising catamarans. A product of the Morrelli & Melvin Design & Engineering design office, GIZMO was custom designed for fast, worldwide cruising. Morrelli & Melvin's uniquely shaped wave-piercing reverse bows, high bridgedeck clearance and complementary underbody save weight and windage but also reduce pitching motions to ensure comfortable and fast cruising. A powerful sail plan provides GIZMO with top speeds up to 30 knots.

GIZMO was built in the USA by Westerly Marine - a highly regarded custom boat builder, founded in 1970, and located in Santa Ana, California - specializing in Carbon Fiber Performance Vessels.

4 Double staterooms, each ensuite with custom carbon fiber electric toilets, washing basin, stainless steel counter tops, and stand up shower.

The Port Forward Bow Compartment houses a convertible sail storage/spare Crew cabin, with WC and washing basin, 2 pipe bunks hammock style.
The Starboard Forward Compartment: houses a workshop, and added storage.
The Salon has a large Dinette forward to Port, with storage underneath, A second Settee occupies the aft Starboard corner.
Navigation: A large, elevated, well equipped Navigation area occupies the forward  Starboard corner of the Salon. 
The Galley is on Starboard, aft in the salon. Equipped with:  - 2 x refrigerators

This vessel has a sophisticated, robust lightning protection system, from Lightning Protection, Inc. Installed at time of build. Proof of concept: The vessel was struck by lightning in 2014. A subsequently thorough survey, with meticulous non-destructive testing of hull and rig, found no damage resulting from the strike.

Currently residing in Tahiti, GIZMO will be cruising to Fiji, then Indonesia. She can be shown in any of these locales, by pre-arrangement.
