Additional Information
I have attached a drawing from the plans which shows the layout. The only departures from this are the main salon and aft deck – in this boat the settee is forward on the starboard side and the L shaped galley is aft on the port side. A nav desk area exists on the port side forward. For the aft deck, instead of the central steering station shown, there are stations port and starboard with the wheel to port. The intent was that the starboard station would have sailing controls and an autopilot controller for follow up steering.
As for the other information:
Aft bunks – 45”W at forward end x 86”L
Forward bunk – 34”W at aft end x 78”L
Can it be completed where it is? – Yes and no. Owner work is allowed in the outside storage areas 24/7. I could provide free storage for the boat through 8/31/25. Beyond that, I cannot guarantee a storage space (possible but not guaranteed). MYC personnel (not me) would be available to assist at retail labor rates – rate sheet attached for reference.
Cost of where it is? – Again, free until 8/31/25. After that, winter storage (if available) fee would be $7,980 excluding shrinkwrap cover.
What still needs doing? The list is long, but here are some of the items:
- Deck hardware organization and mounting – 4 new Harken size 48 winches are included with the boat but are not fitted
- Complete running rigging and sails – currently there are dyneema running backs and 2:1 main halyard. I have some used Class 40 sails that I might have recut for the first set of sails.
- Windlass/anchor
- Nav lights
- Cockpit canvas enclosure if desired
- Expansion of plumbing system – currently just hot and cold water to galley sink
- Expansion of electrical system – currently just basic AC outlets and stove/micro circuits, DC system will need more circuits, distribution panel, solar, etc
- Navigational electronics – currently only wind and depth are installed (Garmin)
- Shower sump in head (if desired) and bilge pumps (hoses and through hulls are in place)
- Finish details – locker doors, seadeck flooring, trim, more lighting
Lastly, and very importantly, the wooden ships wheel will not be going with the boat. I am happy obtain and provide something to mount to the helm until the new owner decides on a final choice.
