MY IGUAZU is a 23.5 m composite hull custom-built motor yacht that was built by SES shipyard using vinyl ester resin which is superior to the regular polyester resin in 2019, which is a very experienced shipyard operating for over 40 years, located in Istanbul. They specialize in custom-built yachts. They are active and can give service and advice. It's a family-owned shipyard, and the second generation is operating the boat at the shipyard.
MY IGUAZU’s exterior design was created by SES Shipyard design team and Duck Design from Italy, her Interior design was done by Barbara Pensoy.
She has 4 spacious cabins for 8 guests and two cabins for 3 crew, powered by two caterpillar C12.9 1000 hp super economic engines,
She will cruise comfortably at 14 knots and can reach a top speed of 22 knots, with 5,000 liters of fuel she will have enough range to cruise to any destination in the Mediterranean Sea.
EXTERIOR
MY IGUAZU’s exterior is designed by SES Yachts team and Duck design from Italy.
Embarking on IGUAZU using the embedded electro-hydraulic swim ladder/gangway on the starboard side of the swimming platform.
Partially hi/lo Swimming platform houses 4.30mt dinghy with 60HP Yamaha outboard.
Swimming platform is made out of two parts. The forward part is the fixed part to the stern of the boat while the aft part of the swimming platform is hydraulically going up and down during anchoring to launch the tender and to be used as a beach club. The fixed forward part also allows you to walk around the boat while the aft platform is down and also makes lazarette and crew cabins accessible while the platform is down.
MY IGUAZU has seating with a coffee table in the forward area, accessible from both very wide walkways located on the port and starboard side. The forward deck houses 2 capstans with 100kg anchors and fender storage foundations.
MY IGUAZU cockpit has a big teak dining table accommodating at least 10 people at the same time. The cockpit is separated from the main deck saloon by a big sliding glass door that actually combines the main deck saloon with the aft cockpit.
FLYBRIDGE
MY IGUAZU has a very spacious flybridge for a 24-meter yacht, hardtop just above it. And there is the helm station located on the port side with a Raymarine screen, 12-inch Raymarine screen, having all the controllers there: throttles, stern thruster, bow thruster autopilot, and of course, Caterpillar controllers for the engines surrounded by the sunbathing area in the forward of the boat.
Moving a little bit backward, there is a kind of a small wet bar here or a barbecue station with two small stoves and a sink, as well as a small fridge for beverages, very convenient, and another storage here for a trash bin. Across this bar unit, U-shaped outdoor dining area that can easily have 8 people dine at the same time.
MAINDECK
MY IGUAZU has got a big salon combined with an open galley and the wheelhouse. The saloon has got an L-shaped sofa located on the port side and the TV located on the starboard. It has got parquetry laid on the floor.
Forward of the saloon, an open galley with an island in the middle right across the interior dining table accommodating 8 people at the same time is located on the port side of IGUAZU. All galley equipment including sinks are covered so that the galley looks the part of the interior.
Galley has got 2 undercounter fridges with icemakers, dishwasher, and oven. The island in the middle houses storage areas.
Wheelhouse is located on the port side right in front of the galley and the captain has access using the starboard pantographic door.
GUEST CABINS
IGUAZU has got 4 bathrooms with en-suite bathrooms. VIP cabin, 2 guest cabins, and the owner’s cabin in the aft.
Going down from the stairs in the saloon to the guest cabins below deck, you will see an additional fridge and freezer hidden on the starboard side of the ladder while you are climbing down.
Interior decorations are minimalist having only semi-gloss lacquered paint on the walls and the ceilings while wooden carpentry accentuates the feeling on board throughout the boat.
VIP cabin located in the forward area of the boat has got a king-size bed with a lot of storage areas. All cabins have got openable portlights in the bathroom and the cabin so fresh air can be pumped into them.
VIP cabin bathroom is located on the port side and has got a double access door to be also used as a day head. One from the VIP cabin, and one from the corridor. The bathroom has got a combination of marbles, corian, and parquetry.
Walking towards the aft, on the port side, you have twin guest cabins with two separate beds with ample storage area. TVs and speakers are located in the cabin as well.
On the starboard side, the same size cabin is positioned with a double bed. TVs and speakers are located in the cabin as well.
OWNER CABIN
I'm going back to the corridor. There is a big fridge here and a freezer, which is very important because the fridge in the galley itself is not big enough for large storage, so this is very close to the galley, just a few steps up, and you have additional storage space for the fridge and freezer. And we are turning back, facing backward, and this is the corridor leading to the other three cabins.
The owner cabin is located amidships which means that it takes advantage of the full beam of 6.10mt. It has got its own ensuite with a big shower on the port. There is a mirror facing the bed, and there is a TV embedded inside. In order to watch the TV properly, you need to close the shades to avoid the reflection. Small sitting area here and some space for storing things underneath and ensuite of the master cabin. There is a toilet here and some storage place underneath. Same here, the sink, and a good-size shower, which is a lot larger than the other cabins, naturally.
On the starboard side, there is a big walk-in closet located. Also, right beneath the huge windows with embedded openable portlights, a sofa with green leather is positioned.
CREW CABIN and TECHNICAL AREAS
Crew cabin entrance is through the door positioned on the stern of the boat on the starboard side. Don’t mix the door with another door on the stern that houses wet suits, fishing, and diving gears located on the port side. Climbing down the stairs to the crew corridor, you have an additional freezer located on top of the washer-dryer combo unit on the port side.
You can have 3 crew members working on the boat. The captain's cabin is positioned on the starboard side with a single bed, full air-conditioned and fresh air through openable portlight. It has got a TV and ample storage area.
On the port side, there is a bunk cabin positioned for an additional 2 crew members. Crew members share the bathroom and shower located in between the cabins.
The engine room houses 2 very Caterpillar C12.9 1000HP engines with very low engine hours. It also has 2 Caterpillar generators also with very low engine hours with 13kw and 27kw power. Chilled air conditioning, 5000 lt fuel tanks, water makers, batteries, and the rest technical items are located in the engine room.
