FROM THE OWNER
My wife and I ordered the boat in September 2020. Closing and delivery was in late January 2021. We made this purchase to allow us to winter for a few months every year in the Bahamas. Years earlier while traveling as scuba divers in the Caribbean and Mexico we fell in love with the marine wildlife and blue waters. It became our dream to live and travel the blue waters for the winter months. As you can see from the pictures the boat has been well maintained, like new condition and is cruise ready. We found the boat to be safe, easy to sail and live aboard. The Garmin navagation system intergration make it easy to get where you are going. The bridge clearance and draft make it ICW friendly. The sugar scoop style stearn and long boarding ladder make boarding in the water and on the hard easy and safe. I have listed the factory build features, options and cruising additions made to the boat. We love the Shaylie Mae and it is going to be sad to see her go. We are selling her because as seniors, we have some health problems and many grandchildren that we can’t ignore. The boat is slipped in Virginia. It is a great value and priced to sell. Feel free to email or call if you are interested or have any questions. When calling, leave a massage and I will return your call ASAP.

Catalina Yacht Provided Information
Lead keels, long travelers for precise sail control, and lengthy inboard genoa tracks so the sail plan is balanced in all wind conditions are just a few of the many design features that sets the Catalina 385 apart from other yachts.
More unique features include a watertight StrikeZone™ collision bulkhead aft of the anchor locker. A backstay system creates an impressive cockpit for the avid sailor, and Catalina’s unique SecureSocket™ chain plates mast support system affords superior load resolution.
The 385’s moderate beam is carried well aft for a spacious cockpit; modest freeboard reduces windage and a beautiful hand-finished teak interior brings it all home with classic warmth and styling that has been a trademark of Catalina for 41 years.
